If you have forgotten your password for the UAN Member e-Sewa portal or simply want to change it for security reasons, the process is straightforward and relies on Aadhaar verification.

Steps to Reset Forgotten UAN Password

1. Visit the UAN Member e-Sewa login page.
2. Click on the "Forgot Password" link below the login form.
3. Enter your UAN and the displayed CAPTCHA. Click "Submit".
4. The system will ask for your Name, Date of Birth, and Gender as per Aadhaar. Enter exactly as printed on Aadhaar.
5. Validate the details. Once matched, enter your Aadhaar Number and Captcha.
6. Click on "Verify".
7. Now, enter the Mobile Number linked to your Aadhaar card and click "Get OTP".
8. Enter the OTP received on your mobile and click "Verify".
9. Once successful, enter your New Password twice. Click "Submit".

Password Requirements

• Minimum 7 characters, maximum 20 characters long.
• Must contain at least 1 Capital letter (A-Z).
• Must contain at least 1 Small letter (a-z).
• Must contain at least 1 Number (0-9).
• Must contain at least 1 Special Character (e.g., @, #, $, %).

After changing the password, wait for at least 6 hours before attempting to log in to the e-Passbook portal (passbook.epfindia.gov.in), as it takes time to sync across servers.
