पीएफ अकाउंट को यूएएन से डीलिंक कैसे करें | PF Delink Process
Sometimes, due to a clerical error by a previous employer or an Aadhaar mismatch, another person's PF account gets wrongly linked to your UAN, or your multiple UANs get tangled. This prevents you from withdrawing or transferring your rightful PF balance. Here is the process to delink an incorrect PF account from your UAN.
What is the UAN Delinking Process?
Unlike transferring PF, which is an online process, delinking a wrongly mapped PF account is primarily an offline process that requires authorization from the Regional PF Commissioner (RPFC).
Steps for Delinking
- Write an Application: Draft a formal letter addressed to the Regional PF Commissioner explaining the problem. Mention your correct UAN, the erroneous Member ID/UAN mapped, and clearly state that it does not belong to you or was mistakenly linked.
- Attach Proof: Attach copies of your Aadhaar card, PAN card, current company's ID layout, and salary slips showing the correct PF number deductions.
- Get Employer Attestation: This is a crucial step. The letter must be verified, signed, and stamped by your current or previous employer (who made the error).
- Submit to EPF Office: Physically visit or send the documents via registered post to your regional EPFO office where the erroneous account is maintained.
How long does it take?
Delinking is a manual process that involves the EPF office verifying records at the backend to ensure no fraudulent activity is occurring. It can take anywhere from 15 days to 2 months depending on the regional office's workload.
