PF Grievance Portal Guide (EPFiGMS) & WhatsApp Helpline

If your PF withdrawal is stuck for months, or your employer is not updating your KYC or Date of Exit, you don't need to visit the EPFO office immediately. You can raise a formal complaint online via the EPFiGMS (EPF i-Grievance Management System) portal.

How to Register a Grievance on EPFiGMS

  1. Visit the official portal: epfigms.gov.in
  2. Click on the 'Register Grievance' button on the top menu.
  3. Select your status: PF Member, EPS Pensioner, Employer, or Others. (Select 'PF Member').
  4. Enter your 12-digit UAN and the security captcha. Click 'Get Details'.
  5. Your details will appear. Click on 'Get OTP'.
  6. Enter the OTP received on your Aadhaar-linked registered mobile number.
  7. Select the specific Member ID (PF Account) against which you have the complaint.
  8. Choose the Grievance category (e.g., Final Settlement Issue, KYC Pending, Passbook Data Mismatch) and describe your issue clearly.
  9. Upload supporting documents (like screenshots of rejected claims or error messages) in PDF format.
  10. Click 'Add' and then 'Submit'. You will receive a Registration Number via SMS.

How to Check EPFiGMS Status

To check the status of a previously registered complaint, simply go to epfigms.gov.in and click on 'View Status'. Enter your Registration Number, Grievance Password (if set), or Mobile/Email ID, and the Security Code to see the official response from the Regional PF Commissioner.

New EPFO WhatsApp Helpline Numbers

EPFO has recently launched dedicated WhatsApp numbers for each regional office. You can message your query alongside your UAN and issue description to get faster replies without logging into the portal. For example, the Mumbai Central office has its specific WhatsApp line. Check the official EPFO directory for your region's number.
