If you haven't updated your PF KYC, you might face issues while transferring your old PF to a new company or withdrawing funds. Here is the exact process to update and get your KYC approved by your employer.

Why is KYC Update Required?

  • Without PAN mapping, TDS is deducted at 34.6% instead of 10% on withdrawals over ₹50,000.
  • Without Aadhar mapping, you cannot file online claims at all.
  • Without an approved Bank Account and IFSC, the claim amount cannot be credited.

Checking Your KYC Status

  1. Visit the UAN Member Portal.
  2. Log in using your 12-digit UAN and password.
  3. Click on Manage > Profile or Manage > KYC.
  4. Check the "Digitally Approved KYC" section. If Bank, PAN, and Aadhaar show as 'Approved', your account is perfectly fine.

If they are under "KYC Pending for Approval", you need to contact your HR/Employer to approve it using their Digital Signature Certificate (DSC).
