Ministry of Labour Scholarship for Labour Children's Education
The Ministry of Labour & Employment enforces a special scheme under the welfare funds to provide financial assistance for the education of the wards/children of Beedi Workers, Iron Ore, Manganese Ore & Chrome Ore Mine Workers, Limestone & Dolomite Mine Workers, and Cine Workers.
Eligibility Criteria
- Either of the parents must be a Beedi, Mine, or Cine worker with at least 6 months of continuous service.
- The monthly income of the worker's family from all sources does not exceed ₹10,000/- per month.
- The scholar must have passed the last qualifying examination on the first attempt.
- The scholar should be enrolled in a recognized regular course of general or technical education in a recognized institution (Class 1 to post-graduation).

Amount of Scholarship
The financial assistance varies depending on the level of education pursued by the student:

How to Apply?
Applications for this scheme must be submitted online through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) at scholarships.gov.in. Ensure you have a valid Aadhaar card linked to a bank account in the student's name for direct benefit transfer (DBT).
